Your RV deserves a smarter co-pilot

Have stayed here for the past 6 Septembers. Boat launch is across the road, but it takes a 20 minute "no-wake" boat ride (each way) to reach the lake. Had 5-G cell service the previous 3-years with U.S.Cellular, but since their merger with T-Mobile there is only SOS satellite connection. Over 9 miles back to main road to get cell service and boat gas. Locals use ATT for current cell coverage. Verizon coverage is very intermittent, at best. Grass has not been mowed for some time, so expect very wet shoes from the morning dew, in September.

Great little campground. Only two others were there. $11.50 with Senior Pass. A bit on the rustic side. Some noise from the road. Great stop being close to LaPine and many other places. Would stay here again.

Beautifully kept up campground. Nice size camping spots. No electricity or sewer hook ups, which makes it very nice for those of us that don’t need all of the extras. We’re just there to relax and enjoy and fish! One of the best fishing spots in Michigan. We had an RV so I did not check out the inside of the bathroom building. If you bring your boat, they have a spot at the front of the campground to park your trailer, but there’s plenty of room on each campsite to park it there as well. We camped there in late August and again in early September and were not bothered by bugs. Each time we were there, there weren’t many campers and we were able to space ourselves from them so it was very private. There is no place to moor your boat unless you have something where you can do it out in the water away from the seawall. We tied our boat to a tree on the side of the boat launch. My Consumer Cellular cell phone worked without issue. If you have a Michigan State Park recreational pass it only cost $25 a night to stay there.
