Your RV deserves a smarter co-pilot

Apparently they just opened this camp. The gravel is not even packed down. $15 gets you 50, 30 and 20 amp, water and a good level pad. And table and fire ring. Outhouse available. These are on the hill behind a little old church. The $10 tent sites are on the river or, in this case, under the river. Recent flooding. Nice and quiet.

We really loved this place when we first started coming here, and we still love the location because it’s so convenient to the Smith River and all of the nearby hikes. The staff are also very nice and welcoming. That said, over time it has started to feel less like an RV resort and more like a tiny-home and motorhome community. Our neighbor actually felt even more strongly about this and said they wouldn’t be coming back. I think the tiny homes would work much better if they were grouped together in one area. Because they’re scattered throughout the campground, some of the RV sites can feel pretty cramped and almost claustrophobic. We ended up moving to a different site that felt much more comfortable and open. It seems the people who live here or renting the spaces took all the good sites in the very back and the ones for RVs left are closest to the road and you do hear the traffic. Overall, we still really enjoy the location and appreciate the friendly people who work here. I just think the campground would feel much more like a true RV resort if the tiny homes were separated into their own area and the RV sites had a little more space and separation.

Very clean well cared for campground. A few sites overlook the lake & those offer a little bit of shade. Rest of sites offer no shade but spacious. I booked site #18 last minute so didn't know anything about campground before I arrived. I had no shade but site spacious. I had electric site. There are a few full hookup sites located near restrooms. I loved visiting historic town of Trinidad. I have small travel trailer so access very easy. A real big RV may have trouble around tight curves of campground.
