We stayed in the big open area on the right. Several campers here. Road is rough and washy, super slow is the way to go. Views are of the highway, skydivers, and airport operations. Sunset could be good depending on cloud cover. Close to Arches and Canyonlands. Left/relocated due to coming rain. For a class A, it’s OK, but hard to level and dodge holes.

We lucked into site 147 on a walk-in due based on a cancelation. This is a prime site, and our 5 star experience was definitely based on this site. Incredibly quiet at night, and being shoulder season the lake wasn't too busy with boaters and the campgrounds was too busy with partiers. The leaves were just starting to turn in late September. Site 147 (and 146, 145, 144, 143) are all very spacious, level, and waterside. Electric only, but a dump and fill is available at the entrance of the campground. Super nice woman staffing the campground entrance. This time of year, entrance is only staffed 1-6pm daily, and you do need to make a reservation online, even if you walk-in. Some of the sites throughout the campground would definitely be tricky for a large or even a medium sized rig to get into (some of a weird L shape), so use satellite view on the map to make sure the site you're choosing looks reasonable to you. Not all sites have adequate view of the sky for Starlink, so be sure to check on that before booking too. 147 was great.

As others have mentioned, this is a great spot for a night or two. We’ve been the only ones here during our stay. The scenery is beautiful, and the pond is really pretty. It’s also very close to Beatty, which makes it convenient. Temperatures were in the low 80s, but it didn’t feel too hot—maybe because it was fairly windy. The only negatives were some highway noise, plenty of donkey poop, and intermittent Verizon service.
