Your RV deserves a smarter co-pilot

Army Corps of Engineers Rood Creek Campground between Lumpkin, Georgia and Eufaula, Alabama on the shore of Walter F George Reservoir — within the Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge. Small but nice. Free, developed campground with pit toilets, picnic tables on concrete pads, trash cans, and convenient paved parking spaces. Quiet, clean and well maintained.

Only stopped for one night on a Monday, so it wasn't very busy. Campground is laid out pretty nice, sites aren't too close together. We had a FHU 50 amp site.

Great dry camping area but didn't arrive in the dark like I did (not intentional). The site markers are very small and set back by the treeline way off the gravel road. They don't seem to be in any particular order and some are missing. I couldn't find a map showing the site numbers. But it's pretty with large grassy areas between the spots, picnic tables and fire rings. A water spigot near the entrance was working in late October. There's are actually 2 separate camping areas - both adjacent to 128th street (gravel). The first area is on the right, a dogleg off 128 that connects to it at the far end. The second area is over the train tracks on the left side of 128, and is a smaller look with a shelter in the center.

This is an easy to get to stop that is super clean and helpful. When we check in after dark, the manager met us at the entrance, gave us directions to our spot, then her husband was at the spot with an airplane guiding light. Just offered help if needed and gave run down of where everything was located. Spots are clean and decently spaced out. Everything is super clean. Plenty of long term set ups but not as much clutter as seen in other spots. Laundry is immaculate. Game room nice and imacculate.
