By Campendium

Six hundred sixty five campgrounds received 5 star reviews in June! Check out some of the highlights below.

Green Lakes State Park – Fayetteville, NY

The facilities are some of the best we have experienced on the road. So quiet and close to Syracuse NY, there are tons of hiking trails that lead down to 2 beautiful glacial lakes with the bluest water! – trh_kamp

Bahia Honda State Park – Big Pine Key, FL

Best view in the campground! Campsite #15 – TWO PEAS AND THE POD

Grace Coolidge Campground – Custer, SD

Grace Coolidge is small and intimate with only about 20 sites suitable for RVs (there’s a small tent camping area across 16A), nestled in the heart of an amazing state park. – Zamia Ventures

Roxie Peconom Campground – Susanville, CA

Very wooded area with a wonderful picnic area set off with 8 or so picnic tables spaced around the grove. Very clean, see the forest service frequently. – rcapeto

Rasar State Park – Concrete, WA

The park was gifted to the state about 20 years ago so it’s one of the most up to date and well planned out state parks in Washington. – Brian

Meaford Memorial Park – Georgian Highlands, ON, Canada

Great views! Clean, quiet, big rig friendly. – Rocket Girl

Laramie River Road | Roosevelt National Forest – Bellvue, CO

This is a cool spot for dispersed camping right near Chambers Lake. Some spots to park are better than others, and some are more tucked away than others, but it’s not tough to find a great view close to hiking trails. – Why Not Go?

Hidden Hollow Campground | Fernwood State Forest – Bloomingdale, OH

How can you really be negative about a free campsite? Each site has picnic tables and a fire ring. Lots of fireflies which was really exciting. – charlenestraw

Crater Lake Campground | Lassen National Forest – Susanville, CA

Two sites on the lake with the rest set back in the trees providing respite from the wind. Very popular put and take fishery. – MWC

Detroit Lake State Recreation Area – Detroit, OR

What can I say, this is simply another amazingly beautiful Oregon State Park. Our site backed up to the lake with awesome views. – JonesN2Travel

Fremont Indian State Park – Sevier, UT

This is a beautiful state park. The site was primitive but had a lovely view of the castle rocks and privacy between sites. It was very quiet. – JanAndDougS

Holiday Campground | Army Corps Of Engineers – LaGrange, GA

Almost all campsites are on the water. In this end loop the sites are level with the water and easy, sandy access to clear, clean water to swim on my 90º days. – anais57

East Meadow Campground | Tahoe National Forest – Sierraville, CA

I camp here three to six times a year. It’s my all time favorite. Pass Creek runs right next to this campground offering beautiful waterfalls in early summer. – Geoff

Taos Junction Dispersed | Carson National Forest – Ojo Caliente, NM

We didn’t expect anything, but this ended up being one of our top boondocking stays. Beautiful forest, great views, well located, extremely quiet. We plan to return if we’re ever in northern New Mexico again! – Life Among Pines

Lava Flow Campground | Craters of the Moon National Monument – Arco, ID

The views at the campground are crazy. You are surrounded by volcanic rock. We would highly recommend this campground and even if you do not stay here make sure to check on the national monument. – Meandering Life

Teal Lake Campground | Routt National Forest – Coalmont, CO

Lots of gulls flying over the lake every day, some blue herons, moose in the area as well as elk and deer. We would definitely camp here again. – D. Serafin

Lost Lake Campground | Gunnison National Forest – Somerset, CO

The views are some of the best we’ve seen with what looks to be some very pristine lake and forest. – The Turtle and The Tiger

Sea Perch RV Resort – Yachats, OR

The 9 oceanfront sites have excellent views of the ocean and justify the expensive nightly rate. – Mike and Holly

Hither Hills State Park – Montauk, NY

It’s a big park that’s fun to walk around in as most people sit out. The beach was not crowded at all because it was only in the 70’s. – BoardGamesOnBoard

Hanna Road Dispersed | Black Hills National Forest – Lead, SD

Love this for our dogs, they can be off lead & romp! Super quiet, private & peaceful…heavenly. – connieglynn

W.P. Franklin Campground | Army Corps Of Engineers – Alva, FL

The campground was clean and quiet. We had a manatee swim up to our site and the sunsets were stunning. – NoWorriesAdventures
