Three hundred fourteen campgrounds received 5 star reviews in May. Check out the highlights below:

Overlook Campground – Santa Fe, NM

Beautiful campground, overlooking a lake, with snowy mountains in the background and an incredible sunset. – Rollin with poppy

Wall Doxey State Park – Waterford, MS

The sites are generally situated to give you a view into the woods, and not straight over at another campsite. REALLY liked the privacy/spaciousness/vegetation. Would definitely go back. – marciekaputnik

Evely Campground – Vernon, BC, Canada

This is a real gem in the Okanagan Valley! It’s so quiet and beautiful (and cheap!). Almost each site has a tiny private beach. – Road it up

Garland Prairie Road – Williams, AZ

Wow! I can’t wait to go back and stay longer. There were rigs scattered but yet it felt as though we were by ourselves. Quiet and beautiful forest. – lilrusty

Rock Creek Hills Road – Jefferson, CO

Great Free Camping Spot. Sites are spread out enough, and large enough to support multiple rvs. -Ryan

Sawtooth Canyon Campground – Lucerne Valley, CA

Great spot to spend a few days exploring the mountains and 4wheel drive trails. You can climb all over the crazy mountains and watch the climbers scaling the various rock faces. – Kurt Kuhl

Oliver Lee Memorial State Park – Alamogordo, NM

Great sites with plenty of room and privacy with wonderful structures over the picnic tables. Close proximity to White Sands National Park, Holloman AFB, and White Sands Missile Range. – KJones

Miners Canyon – Saratoga Springs, UT

We were going to stay here a couple of days as we headed up to Salt Lake City but once we got here we LOVED it and decided to stay almost a whole week. – A Streamin Life

Blanton Creek Campground – Hamilton, GA

Can we give this campground 6 stars? How about 10? What a fantastic, wonderful, relaxing, peaceful campground that we stumbled upon randomly as we headed north trying to escape the Florida heat. – Two Plus Lu

Old Lime Creek Road – Durango, CO

Great views of Engineer Mountain, Spud (Potato) Mountain,Twilights, and West Needles. An elk was spotted and we saw the largest coyote we have ever seen. – SerendipRV

Mitten View Campground – Oljato-Monument Valley, AZ

If you’re an artist or photographer, plan on going back through the park several times. The Valley is sacred to the Navajo, and we are their guests. Twenty bucks is a bargain for the privilege. – Bud Simpson

Winnie Stowell Park – Winnie, TX

What a find! Arrived mid week, mid day and stopped by court house 1/2 mile away to get free permit on way in. There was water and even sewer connects at some sites. – Tom

Coastline RV Resort & Campground – Eastpoint, FL

The sites were spacious and well-kept. Pads are gravel, with paver patios. Views of the bay looked to be had by all spots in the first three tiers. – Justin & Amy

Pawnee Buttes – Grover, CO

Visit the Grassland’s most arresting geological feature, the Pawnee Buttes, to enjoy a well-developed trailhead with shaded picnic areas, vault toilets, and level trails for hiking. – Friendly Rock

Mahlon Dickerson Reservation – Jefferson, NJ

This is a county park (Morris County, NJ) but it’s more impressive than most state parks I’ve been to, as well as some national parks. – MacRodge

South Temple Wash – Green River, UT

Excellent boondocking sites with fantastic views! Pit toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings – and it’s free! We loved it here. – Teddi & Roger

Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins – Spearfish, SD

The sites are long, level, wide, and well taken care of. Convenient to the Black Hills, Spearfish is an excellent choice. – Travels with Pickles

Sunday Lake Overnight Parking – Wakefield, MI

No matter which spot you choose, the view is spectacular. Be sure to donate as places like this are rare and deserve the support. – Van-Tramp

Silver Falls State Park – Sublimity, OR

The nature trail started right next to our site, and either brought you all the way around the campground on a very nice nature trail with varied scenery, or out to the main falls area. – Fables and Trails

St. Mary Campground, Glacier National Park – Browning, MT

The best National Park Campground we ever stayed in, but only because it wasn’t high season yet.
We stayed here during Memorial day, and the campground was basically empty. – remember to explore

Townsite Campground, Waterton Lakes National Park – AB, Canada

We were visited daily by herds of big horned sheep and a few deer who worked to keep the grass trimmed. Our biggest mistake is that we should have stayed longer, MUCH longer! – John & BJ

Green River Campground, Dinosaur National Monument – Jensen, UT

Our site #8 had splendid view of Split Mountain and it was on the river. We have a senior pass so the cost was $9 per night. – Wheels61

Caliche Lake – Quincy, WA

Easy access for a big rig. We wold stop here again. Or even an overnighter if we went to a concert at the gorge.
Winery’s close by to tour also. – Roger
