Cold Spring – Sisters, OR
This is a wonderful campground. You can really stretch out and relax with the large sites, tall trees and ample spacing between sites. – Mike and Holly
Lake Powhatan – Asheville, NC
We loved staying here and ended up spending another night. You can’t beat the location – middle of the woods, with a lake for swimming and minutes away from stores and the sites around Asheville. – Nancy
Nevada Beach Campground – Zephyr Cove, NV
We loved our stay here. It hit all our buttons;- beautifully scenic, large spacious sites, and close to things to do. This is on Forest Service land that is in Nevada but run by California Land Management. – Kate at The Scenic Route
Oceanside RV Park – Haines, AK
I would give this campground more stars if I could! Each site has breathtaking views of the water and mountains. – wanderingdawgs
Dead Swede – Dayton, WY
The campground is a few miles from the road and is very quiet at night, except for the soothing sound of the river. Wildlife abounds and we saw some a moose cow and yearling, a fox den with male, female and 5 kits! – CarlaMowell
Green Creek Campground – Bridgeport, CA
One of the sweetest campgrounds in the Sierra. Lots of families that come here have been camping here for fifty years or more. – Vincent
Manzanita Lake Campground (Lassen Volcanic National Park) – Mineral, CA

Water Canyon – Winnemucca, NV
We arrived at 6:30 pm toured the campsites and settled in a large spot near the vault bathroom with a lovely view of the canyon on one side and the town in the distance on the other. We could hear the birds and babbling creek below us. – Airstream On Safari
Lobster Buoy Campsite – South Thomaston, ME
Campground opened in the 1950’s by current owners grandparents. Sites still grass, water and both 20 and 30 amp electric. No cable, limited wifi, but great surroundings enjoyed by folks who are mainly repeaters. – Tomp
Stillwater Pass – Grand Lake, CO
Stillwater Pass is great place to camp just outside of historic Grand Lake, CO and the Western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. There are trails are off the forest service road, nice be spots, a large parking area big enough for larger rigs to turn around in with vault toilets and beautiful view of the Rockies. – Chris
Seven Feathers RV Park – Canyonville, OR
We just spent our first night here two nights ago and were delighted with the entire experience. We were on our way back from CA to OR. We very tired and wanted an easy full hook-up pull-through to relax for the evening – this completely delivered. – Scott M.
Merrill Campground – Susanville, CA
This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed in. It is picturesque, well managed, excellent large sites. – Vairman
Dove Springs OHV Area – Kern, CA
Have stayed here many times. Off road enthusiasts are the main people that camp here. The Pacific Crest Trail runs through the area for hiking. The camping area is also just down the road from Red Rock Canyon State Park which offers hiking and fabulous formations to photograph. – Jennifer
Flint Creek Campground – Philipsburg, MT
Campground was nice, clean, quiet, every spot has a fire pit and almost all are creek side. It is also the only free camp pad around for quite a while, even the fishing access spots have fees. – jol31644
Forest Road 611 East Rim – North Rim, AZ
This location is phenomenal. It’s proximity to the National Park and access to the main highway along with the views makes it the best place to camp in the north rim. – Aluminarium
Shadow Mountain – Jackson, WY
You cannot beat the views from here. There is a small area at the base of shadow mountain that will accommodate 15 campers or so, it’s all dispersed and easy access to some of the sites. – Kingham
Custers Gulch RV Park – Custer, SD
Only stayed one night, but for a private campground, I really liked it. Even though this campground was pretty full during my short stay, it didn’t feel like people were right on top of me. – Jen and Q
Fairview Riverside State Park – Madisonville, LA
Ya know… it was nice. Quite large campground, all back in spots – everything was kept well. The walk down to the river and through their nature trail is lovely. Great place to have a bike. Employees were EXCELLENT at the camp ground. Polite and helpful. – Andrea H.
Ruby Van Deventer County Park – Crescent City, CA
Best camping ever, great host, down to earth and helpful. River was clear, clean and warm. A first for me to feel it that warm. Liked being able to camp right close to the river bank instead of regular camp sites. – pookie
