The end of the summer took us from Wyoming to Washington. Due to the wildfires we had to move a little faster through Washington than originally planned, though it was still a great four weeks.

north-shore-bay-campground
Normally our favorites for each location aren’t actually where we stayed, but in Cody, WY our favorite spot was North Shore Bay Campground where the views couldn’t be beat.

bakers-hole-campground
In West Yellowstone, we preferred the National Forest campground over the RV parks in town. Located minutes away Bakers Hole has both electric and dry camping sites in a woodsy setting.

upper-coffeepot-campground
Dipping down into Idaho, Upper Coffeepot Campground in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest stood out for it’s river access for fishing, tubing and boating.

varney-bridge
Varney Bridge in Ennis, MT stood out as another special place to camp with fishing right outside your door.

square-dance-center-campground
The Square Dance Center & Campground in Lolo, MT offers full and partial hookups along with regularly scheduled square and round dancing. Set among the tall trees, this charming campground is our pick for travelers looking for a place to stay in the Missoula area.

liberty-lake-regional-park
If you’re looking for a national forest style campground between Spokane, WA and Coeur d’Alene, ID, Liberty Lake Regional Park fits the bill. Open May through September.

pioneer-trails-rv-resort
Our favorite RV park in Anacortes, WA is Pioneer Trails RV Resort. It’s a very large full hookups park. Sites are surrounded by trees and the wifi actually works!
