Otto Lake | BLM – Healy, AK

Sure, there are other sites along the highway, but this on takes the cake. Excellent BLM North of the Denali Park Entrance! – VeganRV


Four Mile Flat Quarry | Fremont-Winema National Forest – Klamath Falls, OR

Beautiful Free Camping Near Crater Lake. We loved boondocking here and will be back if we’re ever in the area again. – Fate Unbound


Belle Isle State Park – Lancaster, VA

Incredibly helpful and kind camp hosts & rangers. Spacious RV sites with water/electric hookups. Beautiful Virginia State Park! – Nicky B


Pole Mountain Area | Medicine Bow National Forest – Buford, WY

We love boondocking and this place is rich with wildlife and lots of seclusion. We saw huge moose, deer, and if you’re a bird watcher this place is for you. – Doll and Rich P


Sportsman’s Beach | Walker Lake Recreation Area – Hawthorne, NV

What could be better? A nice quiet campground with a stunning view of a large body of water with the sun cresting the mountains with your favorite morning tea or coffee? – Vannin Project


Lava Lake Campground | Deschutes National Forest – Bend, OR

We spent two weeks at this no-frills forest service campground while we enjoyed the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway. It was a great location for visiting the numerous lakes and trails in the area. – WatsonsWander


Coal Creek Road | White River National Forest – Redstone, CO

It was an idyllic location, with the sound of the cascading creek about 30 ft down in its canyon beside the site. – John T


Raccoon Holler Campground – Jefferson, NC

This campground is very clean and well maintained. The internet was the best we have ever had at a campground. The town of West Jefferson is about 12 miles down the road and delightful. – SteveTam9310


Elijah Clark State Park – Lincolnton, GA

This is a beloved campground for many families who come for one and two-week vacations. They enjoy their cookouts, music, ski jets and motor boats. But everyone is respectful of quiet evenings and noise fades by 10pm. – Light and Breezy


Fence Canyon | BLM – Carlsbad, NM

Fire rings, amazing views, and even more amazing stars. 10 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns. Highly recommend! – Red and Rosie


St. Joseph Peninsula State Park – Port St. Joe, FL

“Be prepared for the full Florida wildlife experience if you are going to stay here. Enjoy what Mother Nature has going on down there and you won’t even notice the lack of cell service.” – Steph


Mountain View | Sawtooth National Forest – Stanley, ID

Sweet view of the lake backed by the awesome Sawtooth Mountains to the west. We happen to love camping right by a body of water or river, with a good view beyond, and this is perfect. – BobandJai


Ranger Creek Airstrip | Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest – Enumclaw, WA

There are a few planes that fly in/out each day which we actually thought was pretty cool to watch. This location was perfect for us to explore the national forest and Mt. Rainier. – Jweiser


Takhini Hot Springs – Whitehorse, YT, Canada

Sites are reasonably well spaced in a pretty forest setting with a choice of back in and pull-through sites. Easy walking distance to the hot spring pools. – Margot Bai


Prewitt Reservoir South | Prewitt Reservoir State Wildlife Area – Merino, CO

We really love it here! We had a phenomenal time watching the sunsets from the beach, kayaking, swimming and relaxing! – 1st Class RV Adventures


leCamping – Petit-Rocher-Nord, NB, Canada

Full service sites at a beautiful, secluded Oceanside location. After three months on the road, our favorite campground. – stevenwilliams


Cottonwood Campground | Army Corps Of Engineers – Yankton, NE

What a great place! Sites are spacious and our “prime” site has a stunning lake view. Since it’s a COE park we used our Golden Age Passes and for $9.00 a night it’s an unbeatable value! – blt


Cliffs of the Neuse State Park – Seven Springs, NC

Very clean, recently updated state park. Because it was handicap accessible the drive is paved. We really enjoyed camping here and will definitely be back. – The Rodgers


Belle Fourche Dam & Reservoir | Bureau of Reclamation – Belle Fourche, SD

Loved it! Great boondocking site! Very easy to find, plenty of water front sites.Sturgis, Deadwood, Spearfish, Rapid City and plenty of tourist attractions all with 2 hours. – SusieQ


Williams Fork Reservoir – Parshall, CO

Awesome place! We stayed out in the peninsula with water on 3 sides! Amazing! Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets! – Kelly
