Catalina State Park – Tucson, AZ
“This park is lovely with mesquite trees throughout, and awesome views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. There is soft dirt and little bits of grass throughout, an exception to the normal desert campgrounds which tend to be gravel, and much better for dogs. Very well-kept.” – Island Girl Walkabout

“There are wonderful hiking trails right off the campground loop that connect throughout the park for what feels like unlimited hiking potential. Saguaro and barrel cacti are everywhere!
