Boulder Oaks is so close to San Diego, you could either skip this stop or go here for a weekend getaway. Conveniently located right off the I-8 freeway and along the Pacific Crest Trail, this campground isn’t very busy and has corrals if you’re lucky enough to have horses in tow.
